‘The Carrot Top Mystery’

  • Vegetables present a rich and varied source of plants for the study of plant life cycles. Ideas are presented that encourage group work.
  • Children can build on their knowledge and understanding from module 4 and follow other vegetable lifecycles.
  • They collect first hand evidence (from the school or other gardens) or second hand evidence from seed packets, the internet and books to explain the sequence of events.
  • An Ideas and Evidence activity is included to assess children’s understanding of real world situation
