Module 9: A world of plants (Botanic Garden)
- Children should begin to recognise how all life depends on plants through an interactive visit to the local botanic garden.
- The range of plants they will encounter is likely to include endangered species, medicinal plants, crop plants and garden plants - 4 categories of plants often grown and displayed in botanic gardens.
- Children will be able to explore the products derived from these plants and, together with a selection of key words provided, they will prepare and present a ‘drama’ centred on a plant of their choice.
